
The mission of the Buchanan County Industrial Development Authority is to promote responsible economic growth and investment that strengthens our community while honoring our Appalachian heritage.
We work to attract new industries, support existing businesses, and encourage entrepreneurship by connecting individuals and companies with the tools, resources, and opportunities needed to succeed. Our goal is to help create jobs, expand economic opportunities, and improve quality of life for the citizens of Buchanan County.

A limited number of residential lots are currently available at Southern Gap, one of Buchanan County’s fastest-growing areas for development.
